When Schools Gleam, Kids Beam
Thank you, Independence! July 18th and 19th more than 1,000 volunteers came out and rolled up their sleeves to paint, clean and landscape at William Chrisman and Van Horn High Schools, Nowlin and Bridger Middle Schools and Korte Elementary. The Independence School District extends our sincere gratitude to local businesses and individuals who sponsored the event. These sponsorships, coupled with the labor and materials contributed, helped us reach $100,000+ in donations from our local community!
We truly appreciate the volunteers and donors who made Project Shine possible. Because of your efforts, the 3500 students who attend these 5 schools will return to gleaming buildings and classrooms this fall. The momentum for positive change in the Independence School District continues. Thank you for making our schools shine!
